Sense of Control

Control-

1. to exercise restraint or direction over; dominate; command.
2. to hold in check; curb: to control a horse; to control one's emotions.
3. to test or verify (a scientific experiment) by a parallel experiment or other standard of comparison.

Okay so you know when you are cruising at a constant speed of 40 miles an hour on the regular streets, and of course the speed is 25 mph something terrible happens.

First situation that can happen is, you come across a tortoise going 15 miles an hour. You want this person to go faster, and if they do not we will try our best to get back to our comfort driving speed.

Second situation can be a guy going 60 mph right behind your 40 mile comfort zone (keep in mind the speed limit is still 25mph). Yeah he wants you to get out of his way, you suck and take this middle finger why don't ya!!! How dare you not listen to me , I own you???

What the hell does that mean ?

I own you? We all have our moments when we try to control a situation around us, and a lot of times we try to control other people. usually you want someone to believe what you believe or come really close to being on par with your level of interests and aptitude. Does this mean we are insecure? Maybe..... I think it really means is even if you believe in self reliance, which is a great thing to have , being independent don't get me wrong is important, and a key to success. Even in being independent you will always need some assistance from a colleague or subordinate. You can not do everything by yourself. Burger King even tells you to " have it your way".

Do we all need to be reinforced with Egomania-ism???????

NO

Sense of control teaches us that we are better than the next average Joe. Sure it may be the key to success, but doing so will cause you to die a lonely life. Lets try to control a little less and enjoy things as they are. Relying a little less on this will teach us to be greater humanitarians, and love thy neighbor.

Life Is a Highway

June 16th 2009

It has been some time since I spoke to you guys.....

First of all let me say the past weekend was pretty phenomenal. My parents and my fiance's parents met for the first time and it went by great. We are looking to get married in a year or so. Engagement party is destined for this summer.

The pressure is on, I am a finance major and I am looking for employment. Maybe being out for a year is a sign to switch professions but I do not want to leave just yet. I plan on owning my own businesses. First and foremost a restaurant has been talked about in the near future. I want to get a business loan preferably to start this off. Also look for my food blog soon which will be linked to this.

Indian tendency of the day I want to talk about is that we tend to be very cheap. Even those of us well off, love to save up money and use very little of it. Even if we do receive items as gifts or for free , we love to be stingy. I am trying my best to rid myself of this habit but it also has kept me financially safe. I avoid over spending and usually almost do not buy something unwanted or unneeded.

I am taking off for now, feel free to comment on this blog guys, I will be back shortly since this blog has been short.

Indian Tendancies

Ahhh yes I have not blogged in over a week but this one is very random but informative. Yeah so typical day, and yeah recently I have started that crazy diet. THE SOUTH BEACH DIET. Oh dread to the creator of such a nemesis diet. So far I can not even count how many cheat days I have had but I must admit I feel healthier and more fit.

The partial blame I must say would be do to Indian tendencies. As being Indian you devote your whole life to eating carbs such as roti, naan, chapati, poori, and basmati rice as a standard. The deserts forget about it, so yeah my mother as I am on this diet loves to say " oh its good to eat this just this one meal and you can eat healthy next meal". I am trying to eat 5 meals a day to keep my metabolism going but the carbs, salt and sugar not good for you in high doses. I am trying to reduce all of it and trying not to use splenda or fake sweeteners ( who knows what kind of diseases they can influence).

Okay now that that basic knowledge of current events of my life has been set, let me tell you about Indian tendencies or "You Know You're Indian When..." facts.

1. You know you are Indian when you steal napkins, ketchup, condiments from fast food spots

2. You know you are Indian when something on clearance for a dollar and you are debating if it affects your budget ( you make 85-150 K a year and living comfy)

3. Again finding coupons online hardcore when you know you have the cash to put up

4. Trying to bargain with the sales associate at Marshalls to reduce the price just cause .....you can get it done cheaper from your Aunt Ranukha.

5. You like to eat 10 lbs of rice a day no excuses.

6. You like to address people you just met as your buddy

7. You own a gas station or corner store and work at those Establishments.

8. You are sick at dancing bhangra, or any traditional Indian dances.

9. You are very aggressive at pursuing women and push up on them any chance you get.

10. You hold hands with and love to even grab your guy friends butt in public ( gay)

I can go on but another day I will add more tendencies as well as surviving cancer for about a year. As for now I must go get ready to go to my oncologist for a routine checkup.

PS Damn you spell check for auto correcting my Indian words

First Evening

April 19th 2009

Well Hello there, I must have gone through the whole day eating and playing video games.......... Recently weighed myself and all the unhealthy food settling to the bottom of my stomach leaves me at a staggering 195 lbs....

This was a transition from 185, within the last year it has gone up.... Currently feeling the side effects of unemployment. I plan to workout, get my self in shape, and also get in shape spiritually. Mind over body always.

I just want to keep my first post short and sweet. I want to leave you with one thought. If you come across someone unfulfilled in their little nitch, offer them the best advice you can possibly think of for their issues. You never know who that person can turn out to be and never know if they might be able to help you one day. Karma is a crazy thing, so I say this world is short, why not live the rest of our lives being the best humanitarian to our fellow neighbors.

Sorry no insane randomness yet........but believe me i have some charactors locked up inside of me that many have not witnessed. -------
