Okay so you know when you are cruising at a constant speed of 40 miles an hour on the regular streets, and of course the speed is 25 mph something terrible happens.
First situation that can happen is, you come across a tortoise going 15 miles an hour. You want this person to go faster, and if they do not we will try our best to get back to our comfort driving speed.
Second situation can be a guy going 60 mph right behind your 40 mile comfort zone (keep in mind the speed limit is still 25mph). Yeah he wants you to get out of his way, you suck and take this middle finger why don't ya!!! How dare you not listen to me , I own you???
What the hell does that mean ?
I own you? We all have our moments when we try to control a situation around us, and a lot of times we try to control other people. usually you want someone to believe what you believe or come really close to being on par with your level of interests and aptitude. Does this mean we are insecure? Maybe..... I think it really means is even if you believe in self reliance, which is a great thing to have , being independent don't get me wrong is important, and a key to success. Even in being independent you will always need some assistance from a colleague or subordinate. You can not do everything by yourself. Burger King even tells you to " have it your way".
Do we all need to be reinforced with Egomania-ism???????
NO
Sense of control teaches us that we are better than the next average Joe. Sure it may be the key to success, but doing so will cause you to die a lonely life. Lets try to control a little less and enjoy things as they are. Relying a little less on this will teach us to be greater humanitarians, and love thy neighbor.
